Thanks to the roll-out of the Covid-19 vaccines and dropping cases of new infections, there is now a glimmer of light in the dark lockdown tunnel. However, it could still be a while before life gets back to anything that resembles normality and we can fully enjoy the outside world again. While we wait for the easing of lockdown rules, we thought it would be a good idea to issue GSM readers, and their families and friends with a special GSM design challenge.

The front cover of GSM is one of the most important and recognisable aspects of the magazine. During its 130-year history, the cover has seen many changes as the magazine has evolved. For this challenge, we would like you to flex your creative muscle and give us your vision for a perfect GSM front cover, complete with images and headlines.

On this page you will find a blank GSM cover template which you can download and then either print out or use for a computer-based design.

You can hand-draw your design, use cut-out images or even use the latest design software to create your perfect GSM cover. So whether you use crayons, collage or a computer, we would love to see your designs.

The competition is open to all, so if you have children, grandchildren or friends who would like to take part then please feel free to pass on the challenge. The best entries will appear in a future issue of GSM. The designer of the winning entry will win a £50 Stanley Gibbons voucher to go towards their next stamp, catalogue or accessories purchase.

Once completed, please send your entries, marked ‘GSM Design a Cover Competition’, to the usual address given in the contents pages or email your entry to gsm@stanleygibbons.com, putting ‘GSM Design a Cover Competition’ as the subject header.
